May Observations

Matt the mushy lush
Claiming a broken heart
Reward torn from love lorn
Holding requital to be a duty
Owed by worshiped beauty
Making of his passion a prison,
His trust a truss,
Desire a damnation.

Military action overseas is research
Beta testing best domestic methods
Occupation of the east in camouflaged war gear
Dyed black for SWAT teams
Disguising occupation here at home.

I have been nowhere or when but here now.
Supposing a there then treats the eternal present
Like a stepping stone in a story bound for an end.
Attention to now sorts similar changes into cyclic
Metaphors for nature's way

Like a lunar lander, newborns arrive on the scene fully equipped to explore the environment wherein their consciousness awakens. Programmed by billions of years of evolutionary beta testing the instinctual software is well able to guide the latest hardware researching the present for the living curiosity of the necessarily psychotic universe. All eyes on the big potato.

Turning the compost and smelling the elemental decay
I find the chemistry experiment of the universe at every scale:
Saline seas from which conscious entities arise,
Seas to which their experiences precipitously return.
